Artistic Director and Co-Founder

 

Dr. Christopher Jackson is the Director of Choral Activities at Lycoming College, the Director of the Williamsport Chamber Choir and Orchestra, and is a sought after guest conductor for Honors Festival Choirs across the state of Pennsylvania. He received his DMA in conducting with a cognate in vocal pedagogy from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX. While at university, he served as the conductor of the UNT Men's Choir, assistant conductor for the UNT Collegium singers, the university's early music ensemble, and assistant conductor of The Denton Bach Society. He received his Master's degree in conducting from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. During his time at Westminster, Christopher served as an assistant conductor for the Westminster Symphonic Choir, coordinator of the Westminster Summer Chamber Choir and Festival Chorus, and as a faculty member of the Westminster Summer High School Vocal Institute.

Prior to completing his education, Christopher taught high school choir at Catalina Foothills High School in Tucson, AZ, where he assistant conducted the early music ensemble Musica Sonora, and served as Vice President of High School Activities for Arizona Music Educators National Conference. He received his undergraduate degree in voice performance from Oklahoma State University.

 

In addition to conducting, Christopher enjoys an active singing career. He currently sings as a core member with Skylark Vocal Ensemble, with whom he has recorded, as well as joining the rosters of Kinnara Ensemble, The South Dakota Chorale, and True Concord Voices.

Fiona Gillespie, soprano, is an adjunct professor of voice, Artist-in-Residence, and Director of Opera at Lycoming College, where she also works administratively for the voice department, and in outreach for the music department.  She mainains an active performing career as both a soloist and professional chorister with ensembles and festivals across the United States and abroad.
